Officer Duties
Lodge Chief
-
Serve as chair and preside over all Executive Committee meetings, general Lodge meetings, and other Lodge meetings designated by the Lodge Adviser and Staff Adviser.

With the aid of the Vice Chief of Communications, prepare agendas in advance of all meetings pertaining to the above.
-
Be responsible for adherence to the program and policies of the Order of the Arrow in all Lodge activities.
-
With the aid of the Lodge Advisers, Staff Adviser, and Lodge officers, plan and conduct all Lodge functions.
-
With the Lodge and Staff Advisers, call all Lodge Executive Committee meetings.
-
Make minor decisions that may arise in the day-to-day operation of the Lodge.
-
Work with the Lodge & Staff Advisers to determine the Lodge goals for the year and see that they are met.
-
Create temporary lodge operating committees as the need arises.
-
Represent the Lodge at all Section, Regional, and National events.
-
Attend all Council Meetings and serve on the Council Board.
-
With the approval of the Scout Executive, make any necessary changes in the “Standard Local Council Rules” in order to keep it up to date with current National and Lodge policies.
Lodge Vice Chief of Program
-
Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Lodge Chief in their absence.

Assist the Lodge Chief in running Lodge events.

Be responsible for all planning and physical arrangements at fellowship activities, including banquets.

Recruit, train, and support the PSR Camp Chief with OA functions at Summer Camp.
-
Recruit, train, and support OA Unit Representatives.
-
Help prepare the Lodge for Section, Regional, and National events.
-
Other duties as assigned by the Lodge Key Three.

Be familiar and have a comfortable understanding of the Guide for Officers and Advisers, Guide to Inductions, Chapters Operations Guide, Communications Toolkit.
Lodge Vice Chief of Operations
-
Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Lodge Chief in their absence.

Assist the Lodge Chief in running Lodge events.

Be responsible for all planning and physical arrangements at service events.
-
Oversee the Ordeal planning process.
-
Recruit, train, and support elangomats for Ordeals.
-
Help prepare the Lodge for Section, Regional, and National events.

Other duties as assigned by the Lodge Key Three

Lodge Vice Chief of OutREACH

Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Lodge Chief in their absence.

Oversee Unit Elections, including the recruitment and training of election teams.

Oversee the REACH Initiative.
-
Coordinate Vigil selection process and Brotherhood conversion process.
-
Help prepare the Lodge for Section, Regional, and National events.

Other duties as assigned by the Lodge Key Three

Lodge Vice Chief of Finance
-
Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Lodge Chief in their absence.

With the aid of their adviser(s), oversee the production of a reasonable Lodge Budget for the year.

Prepare event budgets, and provide event financial reports at the Lodge Executive Committee Meetings
-
Keep an inventory of all Lodge supplies before and after each event.
-
Coordinate purchase of merchandise and supplies with Lodge Staff Adviser.
-
Oversee the operation of the Lodge Trading Post.
-
With the aid of the Vice Chief of Communications, collect Lodge dues and conduct registration at all Lodge events.
-
See that financial records are kept and made available to the lodge.
-
Other duties as assigned by the Lodge Key Three.

Be familiar and have a comfortable understanding of the Guide for Officers and Advisers and the Lodge Finance Manual.
Lodge Vice Chief of Communications

Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Lodge Chief in their absence.

With the aid of the Council Office and Lodge Adviser, send out Lodge correspondence, newsletters, minutes, and any other materials concerning the Order of the Arrow and the Lodge as designated by the Lodge Key Three.

Record and maintain current records of minutes at all Lodge Executive committee meetings as designated by the Lodge Chief.

Ensure that the lodge website and social media platforms contain accurate information.

Recruit Arrowmen to contribute photos/videos, write content, and create designs that will be shared across multiple channels
-
Conduct Lodge registration along with the Vice Chief of Finance and their adviser at all Lodge events.
-
Other duties as assigned by the Lodge Key Three.
